Hello ASHRAE,
Welcome to an exciting new year! We are very happy to be able to see everyone in person for our future meetings. For those of you who know me it will be great to catch up. For those of you who have not met me before, I am a Past President, Membership Promotion Chair, Research Promotion Chair, Governor, Treasurer and have assisted in a variety of previous seminars. I am happy to help our great young board members. It’s hard to believe I am one of the veterans of the board (nice way to say I am getting old, lol). Please come and introduce yourself to me if I do not see you first. I would love to hear from you, hear what you would like in regards to events and presentations and just get to know all new members!
We have some exciting events coming up. This month (October) we have a Distinguished Lecturer, Erich Binder. A Distinguished Lecturer is a person who ASHRAE has pre-approved as a great speaker that are recommended for the Chapters to use in their meetings. I personally have met Erich several times and is a knowledgeable and personable person. I am excited for the meeting. We also have plan on a seminar for the new year which is in the works, we are a sponsor for one of the Mb Building Expo Education Sessions (organized by BOMA), a collaboration with the University of Manitoba’s Price Faculty of Engineering in November among many other things.
